My eyes are wide shut to worldly ways
And I am content to just sit
Consumed by this innocent childhood haze.
That's the way I like it.

Please don't let change taint my perfect perception.
Keep greed, poverty, and evil deeds at bay.
Let me not learn of liars and their deceptions.
Keep strange customs and perversions far away.

Midnight souls must come no nearer
For I know wrong and right.
I am a stranger to the fallen's fear
For I am an innocent child of light.
